Connecticut Open Educational Resources
Grant Program
A program sponsored by the CT Open Educational Resources Coordinating Council to support higher education institutions' efforts to increase access, affordability, and achievement for students through Open Educational Resources (OER). From 2020 to 2024, the program saved 10,000 students $1.2 million, resulting in a return on investment (ROI) of 5.23 on state funding. The state has eliminated this funding, and the grant program is currently suspended.CT OER Summit

CT Open Educational Resources Coordinating Council
Effective July 1, 2019, Public Act Number 19-117 established the Open Educational Resources Council. This statewide body is charged with identifying high-impact courses for which open educational resources will be developed, converted, or adopted; establishing a program of competitive grants for faculty members of institutions of higher education in the state for the development, conversion, or adoption of OER for high-impact courses; and promoting strategies for the production, use and access of OER, among other actions.Documents
