Open Textbook Project

The Open Textbook Project was created to aggregate national research on the affordability of educational materials. As more and more states and institutions engage in research on local course material costs, having a unified set of survey questions and a way to compare and contrast data will allow for a deeper understanding of what students face when buying textbooks.

When advocates, institutions of higher education, and policymakers have better data, they can craft more impactful interventions to ensure students have the materials they need to succeed.
